Drops

Glimpses of the clouds, maximising the thirst, staggering the hope, and struggle with heat,

Expected their dry return, as always, leaving the trees, who were hoping the best,

They stopped and thunder, apologising, the trees and life, for their emptiness, but surprised them,

Elixir of life, dropped they so, tears were they, tears of dry,

Drops they were, with essence of hope, with sprinkle of serenity, and life for us,

Wet the dirt of dress, green of life, all the hopes new, cleaned the strife

Trees bow down in respect, animals danced for life, drops they were ordinary, but extraordinary in fact...
